At the beginning of this year Berlin Fashion Week, four young talents were honoured with the European Fashion Award FASH 2019. The award event held at Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart Berlin. This award is one of the most important international award for fashion students. A special award for fashion photography was awarded for the first time.
FASH brings young talents and experts at eye level. The 23 finalists were from five countries. You’re one of the finalist in this award then you will have numerous advantages like to experience two days intensive exchange and networking. The winners of this year are listed below.
1st prize students: Ecehan Altikardes, Hochschule Pforzheim (Pforzheim University), 1,000 Euro prize money, paid internship at workwear manufacturer Engelbert Strauss
1st prize Bachelor: Katharina Heinze, Universität der Künste Berlin (Berlin University of the Arts), 2.000 Euro prize money
1st prize Master: Elisa Herrmann, Accademia di Costume e Moda, Rome, 2,000 euros prize money
1st prize Fashion photography: Jakob Tillmann, Lette Verein Berlin, 1,000 euros in prize money. Five works will be included in the collection Modebild of the Kunstbibliothek, which are printed in high quality by the Pixel Grain laboratory. Order from the Berlin Senate to photograph the editorial of the Berlin Showroom.
The total prize of this year European Fashion Award FASH 2019 was 10,000 Euros presented with a cup of bowl from Hering Berlin. Addition to it, all prize winners receive individual coaching and their portfolios are included in the Kunstbibliothek of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. All three winners of the Fashion Award will also receive prizes from Müller & Sohn for the creation of the pattern.
