Amazon New Initiative The Drop Featuring Limited Edition Collections Designed By Global Influencers

Amazon recently announced a new initiative known as The Drop. In this initiative for a limited-time streetwear designs will be made on demand and it will be available for 30 hours. These collections designed by fashion influencers from around the world.

The designs will only be available for 30 hours because of limited fabric company said. There will also be an offering called “Staples by the Drop” which are perennial items that will complement the limited-time assortment. The designs will be available through Amazon website and mobile app and to be sold globally. The name and model are a nod to streetwear players like Supreme, which have caught on with young consumers.

The company didn’t revealed when the new program would launch, but said it will come soon. It’s first collaborations are with famous Instagram designers including Paola Alberdi, Sierra Furtado, Emi Suzuki, Leonie Hanne and Patricia Bright.

With The Drop initiative amazon is hopping on a couple of bandwagons that’s are picking up speed by the day. Retailers like Nordstrom and Revolve are already moving millions of dollars worth of product by partnering with many influencers like Julia Engel, Arielle Charnas etc. Perhaps, it’s a good time to tide up your resume. Surely, some of these influencers will be hiring very soon.
