After waiting for two years, “Project Runway” is back with a few major changes. Previous show host & mentor Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn exited the show to pursue a stoppable reality TV show on Amazon. Later, it was announced that Project Runway will come back for the 17th season with new host, mentor and team of judges. They will focus on diversity and the evolution of the fashion industry in the digital age.
The Project Runway reboot will be returning to its original network Bravo and will air on Thursday at 8 P.M starting 14 March 2019. This year Model Karlie Kloss will host the show and She is also the executive producer. The the mentors category, famous designer Christia Siriano will be there. Nina Garcia, Editor of Elle Magazine will be returning as a judge and joined by former Vogue editor in Chief Elaine Welteroth with newcomer designer Brandson Maxwell.
This season, show is focusing on diversity with 17 designers from various background. The group of designers includes Syrian refugee and others from countries like India, Samoa and Colombia. The show will showcase models of all sizes and races, including first transgender model. This season comes with the biggest prize in the show’s history. The winner will receive $250,000 and a feature in Elle Magazine.
