Lotus Make-up India Fashion Week AW’19 in association with Liva will be starting today at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi. This year fashion week will focus on sustainability and giving a platform to young designers. The five-day fashion extravaganza will pay homage to the sari in finale.
President of Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), Sunil Sethi told “We believe that sustainable fashion and conscious consumption is the need of the hour. Our associate sponsor Live has been promoting green and eco-friendly fabrics. We will be starting the fashion week with LivaEco Green Heart Show, Hoping to change the way in which people consume fashion. We will also have a sustainable lounge at the venue supported by Liva to spread the message of green fashion.”
This time there will be some new concepts and shows have been introduced to the fashion week. One of them is a show by 12 young designers who will be presenting their collections on the ramp for the first time and they will be judged by the jury. There are some other part like photo exhibition by designer Suneer Verma. The grand finale show will be highlight of the fashion week and this year, it will showcase saris designed by 21 designers. FDCI is also running #SixYardsOf campaign on social media asking women to share their pictures in saris. In finale, 21 designers will showcase how they related or connect with the six-yard wonder.
